The Mail Sorters shown on this page are not manufactured to be hung on a wall - they must be fully supported underneath either by resting on a table top, shelf, placed on the floor, etc. Mail Sorters may optionally be fastened to the wall through the back of the unit at the customer's discretion for added stability. Letter depth (12 1/4') mail sorter weighs 235 lbs. Whereas legal depth (16 1/4') mail sorter weighs 285 lbs. (note open back mail sorter may weigh slightly less) Exterior shell and vertical dividers are manufactured from 3/4' 45-50 lb. The mail sorter shelves can be adjusted to accommodate high volume document needs either temporarily or permanently. Optional FeaturesMail Sorter Overall Depth(STANDARD) 12 1/4' (Letter size) depth is suitable for most customer applications (+$65.00) 16 1/4' (Legal size) depth is for clients who desire additional storage space Label Holder Option(+$50.00) Label holders allow the end user to identify each pocket opening. If this option is chosen the factory will provide the appropriate amount of transparent label holders with double side tape and cardboard inserts for marking each pocket opening. Mail Sorter Type(STANDARD) Closed back mail sorters are open on one side of the unit for document distribution and closed on the other side. This is the most common type of mail organizer in the marketplace. (NO EXTRA COST) Open back mail sorters are open on both sides for document distribution. Pocket opening identification can be done on either or both sides of the organizer. Often, open back mail sorters are recessed into a wall by end users. Finish for Sorter Shelves(STANDARD) Finishesfor sorter shelves are in a high quality electrostatic powder coat. The powder coat paint is solvent free and EPA tested and approved. Color chips are available in no cost to assist prospective clients in their finish selection. Melamine Finish for Sorter Shell(STANDARD) The interior and exterior of the sorter shell has a melamine finish which provides appearance and durability benefits. A matching PVC commercial grade tape is applied on all exposed edges to finish off the unit. Melamine finishes can be personalized to your specifications however an up charge will apply and and an extended lead-time will be quoted. Color chips can be obtained for standard melamine finishes free of charge upon request.
